Enjoy a journey in style through the changing face of Christchurch's city centre on board our beautifully restored heritage Trams, one of Christchurch's leading attractions.
Transport from the cruise ship to this attraction is not included in the ticket cost, you will need to make your own arrangements.
Our friendly and knowledgeable drivers will inform you about the city, its landmarks and local sights. Your day-long ticket allows you to get on and off the Tram as often as you please, or just stay on board and return back to the starting point for a great in depth look at the city.
The journey takes you to the appropriate stops for Punting on the Avon, and the Tour of the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.
Cathedral Junction, Avon River, Gothic-style Arts Centre, the Canterbury Museum and New Regent Street are just some of sights to be seen from the comfort of your Tram, or accessed from the 18 stops en route.
The last tram departs Cathedral junction 1 hour before closing.

- You can get off and on at any of the 18 stops.
Restrictions
- Children must be accompanied on the trams at all times by a paying adult. For safety reasons, we allow one adult to supervise up to five children/infants aged 15 years and under.
- Please note that children are classed as being 5-15 years of age and infants under 5 years of age. Up to three children may ride free of charge per paying adult, and tickets can be purchased for $5 each for additional children. Infants are free of charge.

How many children can we bring free of charge?
Each fare paying adult can bring three children aged 5 to 15 free of charge. Extra child tickets can be bought at $5 per child if needed. Infants under 5 are always free.
How many stops are there on the route?
There are currently 17 stops on the extended tram route, this allows you to see all of the main city centre landmarks.
How often do the trams run?
The trams currently operate at 15 minute intervals.
How long does the full city circuit last?
Each full circuit of all 17 stops takes approximately 50 minutes to complete.
Can we get on and off at any of the stops?
Yes, just exchange your voucher for a ticket with the tram driver, you can then use the official ticket for the rest of the day.
